History of the band Iron Maiden:


Iron Maiden: Iron Maiden are an English heavy metal band, formed in 1975 by bassist Steve Harris, former member of the bands Gypsy's, Kiss and Smiler. Originally from London, was one of the leading bands of the musical movement that became a known as NWOBHM (New Wave of British Heavy Metal). The name "Iron Mainden" was inspired by a medieval instrument of torture in the film The Man in the Iron Mask. This was also the nickname of former British Prime Minister Margaret Thatcher, who appears on the covers of compact "Women in Uniform" and "Sanctuary."
With pver three decadas of existence, fourteen studio videos, the Iron Maiden is one of the most important and successful bands in the history of heavy metal, having sold 230 milion albums reported around the world. His work has influenced many rock and metal. They are cited as an influence by bands like Hazy Hamlet, Anthrax, Angra, Metallica, Helloween, Death, Megadeth, Dream Theater and Mystery, among many others.
